Hand-woven and embroidered by women in Guatemala, the Gabrielle top (or huipil) combines comfort, style, & centuries of tradition.
With a fitted silhouette, the Gabrielle is beautiful when paired with anything from jeans to a skirt or styled with dressy joggers!
Traditionally designed to clothe and "live with" a woman through all the stages of her adulthood, the quality of each huipil is exquisite. It can take 45 days to create just one!
Based on ancient Mayan spinning and dyeing techniques, Guatemalan textiles are an enduring link to a rich cultural past. Weavers today continue to use the original back-strap loom that is worn around the waist. With skill and creativity, these artisan-entrepreneurs preserve their heritage while creating meaningful income for their families!
